In order to ensure secure and appropriate access to the ScotiaWorld site, effective Jan 12, 2012, a new CAPTCHA feature is being added to the ScotiaWorld Log On page.
CAPTCHA is a type of challenge-response test which attempts to confirm that a human being is trying to log on to the system rather than a computer generated attack. This is the same type of technology currently in use on many other web sites, used to prevent e-mail spam and automated posting to systems.
Employees signing into ScotiaWorld after Jan 12, 2012 will be required to enter their user ID and password plus repeat a four-character code that appears as a distorted image on the logon page (see below). An audio component has also been added for employees with visual impairment.
